Although Georgia is not a member of the EU nor the Schengen zone, its citizens can travel visa free to any of the Schengen countries since March 2017. The Caucasian country is soon to introduce a golden visa program of its own, offering citizenship to international businessmen.
Georgia, on the border of East and West
Georgia is situated in the Caucasus, which means it sits truly on the border of Europe and Asia. While it is not a member of the European Union, it is a member of the Council of Europe, and since March 2017 all Georgian passport holders can travel freely in the countries of the Schengen zone.
Schengen visa through a simple donation
With its 1,000 years of history, Georgia has been independent for only a few decades, making it a developing democracy, with lots of opportunities for business development. However, you do not have to form a company or settle here in order to become eligible for Georgian citizenship. You only need to make a one-time donation to the Georgian state, and you can already apply for the Georgian citizenship, together with your spouse and children under 26.
Fast citizenship for the whole family
When you make the donation, you and your whole family (spouse and children under 26) become automatically eligible for Georgian citizenship. The sum of the donation should be EUR 350,000, which is a fixed sum, independent of how many of you are applying. The processing time of the application is only one month. And as a Georgian citizen, with your Georgian passport, you will be allowed to enter all the countries of the Schengen zone, without a need for a separate Schengen visa.
Promotion on the horizon!
As a promotion of the Georgian Citizenship program, over the summer of 2017 the sum of the donation will be decreased as low as EUR 250,000.
