Program description
You become eligible for Montenegrin citizenship through an investment in real estate, especially in facilities that might promote tourism. The investment amount depends on which area you are making the investment in. If you invest in the less developed, nothern area, you just need EUR 250,000. At the same time, ROI might be bigger if you invest in the more developed, southern area that includes the Adriatic coast — where the investment amount expected is also bigger, least EUR 450,000.
Travel options
The Montenegrin passport will let you travel to 120 countries without a visa, including the Schengen-zone, since Montenegro is a candidate for EU membership since 2010, and is close to being accepted.
Financial terms
There is an EUR 100,000 application fee that will be deposited in a special fund for improving less developed areas of Montenegro.
The investment amount is expected to be at least EUR 250,000 for real estate investment in the less developed, northern areas. In case you plan on investing in the more developed, southern area that includes the Adriatic coast, the investment amount is expected to be at least EUR 450,000.
